We caught up with Ken Beasley to reflect on his 10 years at Push10. From business development to becoming a key part of the management team, Ken’s journey is filled with growth, challenges, and rewarding projects.
How has your role evolved during your time at Push10?
When I first joined the agency, it was certainly in a pretty direct business development capacity, however as the business has grown substantially, my role now incorporates an array of other areas. I’m much more hands on with clients throughout their projects and beyond. I also compose content for our marketing outreach, I attend and speak at industry events, and as a member of the management team, I collaborate on process and policy improvements.
What’s one of your most memorable projects or moments from the past 10 years?
The website for The American College of Financial Services was a particularly gratifying project. Not only did it combine two of our industry concentrations, Higher Education and Finance, but it was also a very complex project involving a sophisticated subject matter and an ambitious, forward thinking client – all things that we love. And the site is dynamite to boot!
Looking back, what’s the biggest change you’ve seen in the agency since you started?
Push10 has become immensely more strategic, both internally and externally. Every client deliverable and recommendation is with a specific goal and outcome in mind. Likewise, the thoughtful process improvements we adopt are thoroughly discussed and considered as a team geared towards specific aims.
What keeps you excited and motivated to come to work every day after 10 years?
Working with our team to solve problems. While some pain points that clients feel can be universal, it is guaranteed that there will also be a good number of unique challenges that will call for us to flex our creative muscles in providing solutions.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned over the years at Push10?
Adaptability. By nature of my position, I deal with circumstances and personalities of every variety, so the ability to be flexible but thoughtful is truly key.
What’s your proudest accomplishment or contribution to Push10 so far?
Extending our client engagements. We have established strong relationships with our clients and they clearly trust our team. More and more clients are choosing to work with Push10 via ongoing service retainers, and I believe it’s a testament to our dedication and abilities.
How has working at Push10 shaped your perspective on design, branding, or marketing?
Working at Push10 has made me more picky than I already was. There is so much being put out in the world that may appear to be good at glance, but on this side of things, it’s very clear when things have been done the right way vs when corners have been cut.
What’s one thing you wish you could tell yourself when you first started at Push10?
As challenging as things may seem at times, you and those you work with will never stop getting better at what you do.
If you could describe Push10 in three words after 10 years, what would they be and why?
Smart, Skilled, Honest
