Things Kody Ate: How Healthy Is Your Office Dog’s Lunch?

Web Design Office Dog at Push10

Ever been sitting at your desk, or maybe on your couch at home, and heard the faint sounds of paper or plastic being chewed?

Well, we have, and do, just about every day thanks to our office dog Kody, who just loves to rip apart any paper he can get his paws on. This is why many times you’ll see our design or development team with their waste baskets sitting on their desks rather than the floor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

List of things the dog ate

While random items like paper may be what your dog prefers to feast on, they’re not what we’d call the healthy choice. As it happens, there are many healthy and organic alternatives to the more common humdrum dog foods, as well as random garbage. Choosing a healthier road for your pet can help ensure that they’re around a lot longer to motivate the team in those deadline drives. This month, everyone at Push10 is putting extra effort into healthifying our everyday diets using the guidelines of whole30.com, and we thought – why should Kody miss out on all the fun (and benefits)?

Push10 Office Dog

For you pet owners out there, here are some healthy alternatives to your basic dog food. After all, a healthy pup is a happy pup.

Fruitables

Created by the health company, Vetscience, Fruitables are full of antioxidants, vitamin A, C and E that are rich in flavor and nutritional benefits. Fruitables come in an array of flavors and textures that are organic and natural.

Primal

Primal raw products are made with 100% human-grade ingredients and are antibiotic and steroid free without added hormones. Their foods combine organic produce, certified organic minerals, and unrefined vitamins along with calcium supplements.

Castor & Pollux

Pet food products from Castor and Pollux Natural PetWorks use Non-GMO ingredients and recipes based on direct studies and recommendations from their own team of experts in animal nutrition and veterinary medicine.

Greenies

Greenies focus on skin and dental health for your pet.  In addition to treats and chews, they also have pill pockets that make it easier for you to give your dog their medicine.  They’re the #1 vet-recommended dental chews and treats, and #1 recommended pill-giving product.

Fromm

Fifth generation family-run pet food company Fromm, strives to produce and provide healthy and natural food for dogs and cats. Putting extra thought into their website, they have an interactive guide to help you select the perfect product for your pet.

A Final Thought

Of course, we believe it’s important to sustain the fun too, so when it’s time for play, there are some great pet toy companies that specialize in non-toxic, eco-friendly toys like Olive, Honest Pet Products and Purrfect Play.

Pets are part of the family, and keeping them healthy and happy makes the work day all the more enjoyable for everyone. We’re excited to ween Kody off of his garbage diet, and with warmer days ahead of us, we’ll all be spending plenty of time running around outside.
See you ’round the dog park!
