Usability up,
bounce rate down.
Client: SecureSheet
Projects: Website Design & Development (securesheet.com)
The Problem: SecureSheet came to Push10 with a website featuring a lot of really good, useful content. Unfortunately, the site’s interface design was so poor that users often couldn’t locate key bits of information.
The Solution: Our first step was to perform a content audit of the current site and categorize all of the current information into logical groups. The new site architecture became the foundation of our web design efforts. As usual, we started the design process with a series of wireframes, followed by a homepage design. The new design established a visual hierarchy, literally guiding the viewer’s eyes down the page. The visual hierarchy also enabled us to highlight key bits of information, prompting users to interact with the site and make their way to interior pages of the site.
The Results: While we firmly believe in the power of design, even we were blown away with the results of SecureSheet’s new website. With the newly designed user interface in place, the site’s bounce rate decreased by 26%. The average time spent on the site increased from 37 seconds to 107 seconds, while the average pages viewed practically doubled, all indicating that viewers were not only able to find the information they needed, they were also learning more about SecureSheet during their visit to the site.
“This is good stuff! We are seeing more trials which was the intent… hopefully that will translate into more quality leads.”
